Visa Application

Submit your China visa application in person at the consulate or visa center. Standard processing 4-10 days. Express service available. Book appointments online at cova.mfa.gov.cn.

Passport Renewal

Chinese citizens can renew passports at their nearest consulate. Bring your current passport, completed application form, photos, and proof of residency.

Document Authentication

Chinese embassies can authenticate (legalise) documents issued in their jurisdiction for use in China. This is required for business contracts, academic credentials, and legal paperwork.

Book an Appointment

Most consulates require advance appointments for visa applications. Walk-ins are rarely accepted. Book via the official website or visa application portal at least 1-2 weeks in advance.

Bring All Documents

Missing documents are the most common reason for application rejection. Double-check the requirements list on the official website before your visit. Bring originals AND photocopies.

Use Official Channels Only

Only use the official consulate website or cova.mfa.gov.cn for applications. Beware of third-party sites that charge premium fees for the same service.
