LHW is Gansu Province main aviation gateway. It has two terminals: T1 (domestic and some international) and T2 (domestic, mainly China Eastern and China Southern). The airport is located 70 km north of the city on the Loess Plateau — there is no metro or direct rail connection. By road, expect 1 to 1.5 hours to central Lanzhou.
